Accomodation fee is Ksh. per term and should NOTbe deposited in the polytechnics Account before Confirmation of availability of rooms.
A note to pay will be provided after payment of other Polytechnic monies.
A separate banking slip should be made for accomodation.
NB:This does not include meals. Institution meals will be on a Pay As You Eat (PAYE) Basis. - This fee structure does not include summative assessment and industry training fee.

SCHOOL RULES & REGULATIONS
CODE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ALL STUDENTS

ALL STUDENTS MUST OBSERVE THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS STRICTLY. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL LEAD TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST THEM

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
All trainees are required to work hard for academic excellence Proper time management will be expected NB: failure in two subjects will lead to refer and fail in more than two subjects will result in as a fail in the course. -
PUNCTUALITY
Strictly keep the time laid down for all the activities and observe the daily programs. Failure to keep time may lead to disciplinary action. -
CLASS ATTENDANCE
All trainees must attend all classes for their courses as indicated in the timetable. In case of any need to be absent, the student should report to the head of department.
Failure to attend more than 80% of timetabled classes will result in course incomplete hence no certification by the examining body. -
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY
Trainees are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities -
ASSEMBLIES
The Polytechnic shall conduct assemblies when necessary. All trainees are expected to attend all assemblies -
CLEANLINESS
- All trainees must maintain a high degree of personal hygiene and be decently dressed. Proper grooming is expected of every trainee Failure to observe personal hygiene is uncomfortable and harmful to others hence may lead to discontinuation of the offending trainee.
- Do not liner the compound and classrooms.
- Bedding should be clean and bois spread neatly every day.
- Writing on walls, desk, chairs tables and drawing board in not allowed.

DRINKING AND DRUG ABUSE
Bringing alcohol to the Polytechnic or coming drunk, taking any form of drug smoking cigarettes and chewing miraa is forbidden. MNP is a drug/alcohol free zone. and such offences will receive appropriate punishment which may include expulsion.
NB: SMOKING AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL DRUGS IS HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH -
VISITORS
Trainees are NOT allowed to visit hostels of the opposite sex or receive visitors of the opposite sex in the hostels. No visitors including day are allowed into the boarding section without authority from management Violation of this rule will lead to lose of boarding status and or expulsion Visitors coming when classes are in progress will wait until classes are over. -
SECURITY
- All trainees must use their valid Polytechnic ID cards when leaving or entering the Polytechnic compound.
- All trainees must submit to impromptu chock-ops in the boarding section or classrooms or as may be necessary.
- Each trainee must occupy only the hotel and room allocated to him/her
- No weapon or inflammablematerials are allowed into the Polytechnic
- Immersion heaters are not allowed into the Polytechnic
- Electrical gadgets coming into the Polytechnic should be registered at the main
- Reporting time on the stipulated reporting das is between 230 am to 5 upon This MUST be adhered to failure to which the trainee my not be received upon
NB: ALL HOSTEL ALLOCATIONS SHALL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SEVED BASIS TO ENSURE FAIRNESS AND NATIONAL INTERGRATION

CARE OF PROPERTY
- Trainees are required to take good care of the Polytechnic property and for the other trainees. Trainees should report any damage or loss of property immediately. Polytechnic property in the trainee's possession e.g. sportswear, buckets among others must be returned to the master/mistress in charge or to the office at the end each term or as May directed from time to time in the course of the term. Lost items will be replaced by those concerned.
- Electricity should be switched off when not needed.
- Note: there should be no interference with electrical installation systems, alteration or diversion of circuitry or unauthorized tapping of power for whatever purpose
- All trainees must respect facilities reserved for the physically challenged or as the case may apply.
- Any student violating the above rules will be held totally responsible for any damage, loses or injuries caused by the irresponsible act.

SICKNESS
Any trainee who falls sick must report to the dispensary for treatment or any other necessary action. -
THEFT
Trainees found sealing will be considered a security risk and punishment to them may include expulsion from Polytechnic. -
SUSPENSION
Once a trainee is suspended he/she will be required to be physically out of the Polytechnic violation of this rule by illegal appearance on campus will attract further disciplinary action A trainee coming back from suspension must be accompanied by parent or guardian and will be required to sign a declaration of good conduct before re-admission. -
OFFICIAL TRIPS
Once a trainee has been allowed to go on an official trip, he/she should not leave the party without express permission from the teacher in charge. When on such trips one is considered to be in the Polytechnic and must therefore abide by all the rules and regulations of the polytechnic.
NB only registered trainees are eligible for Polytechnic trips -
DISCONTINUATION FROM COURSE
This may be due to- Voluntary discontinuation
- Expulsion
- Cheating or giving false details during admission
- Indiscipline or gross misconduct
- Failing more than three papers for a course

GENERAL
All trainees are expected- Show obedience and co-operation to authority including student congress
- Carry out duties and communal work assigned to them or as delegated from time to time
- Avoid using mobile phones in class and exam rooms
- Avoid idling at the gate
- Avoid watching TV during class
- Avoid causing public disturbance within the Polytechnic time
